Because of US

The girl asked to the wood ahead her
Why green leaves not growing?
The sandy wood then answered
That they are dying.

The girl asked to the green boat across the sea
Why green leaves not growing?
The boat could not respond
Except noisy engine sound
And splashing surf and breeze.

The girl asked to the broken bridge
Far away from her standing by their own
Why green leaves not growing?
The bridge was silent…
The bridge was silent…
The bridge was silent…

Suddenly, big waves waft out
The boat closer and closer and closer to her
Asking to the Man! Shouted the green boat
Why green leaves not growing!

The girl asks to the man near the green boat
Why green leaves not growing?
The Men –are trembling
TheyΒ cannot deny but answer
Because of our fire, our smoke, our saws, our machines,
Because of our homes, our boats, our tables, and our chairs
Because of US. Because of US.
